In 2016, Pure Muskegon, LLC. purchased the sprawling 100+ acres of the former Sappi Fine Paper Mill with hopes to re-purpose the site into mixed use commercial and residential developments.

With two iconic 275’ smokestacks still remaining on the property, the investment group sought out Balestrieri to develop an environmental plan to remediate the exterior surfaces of the stacks and prepare them for demolition.
