Eighth Street School
Once the Pabst Brewing Campus opened its doors on Grand Avenue, the community was in dire need of a school to educate the workers’ children. 8th Street was the designated location, and the school was constructed in 1884.
With so many children building foundations for their futures within its walls, the safety of the historic building continually needs reassessment. When it was determined the exterior paint of the school contained lead, Balestrieri was contracted to abate the facility in order to maintain the health of the students and meet governmental regulations.
